It is not a "how-to" book tied to specific and soon-to-be-outdated software tools, but a guide to the concepts that are central to building interactive visualization projects whatever their ultimate form. If we transform the phrase “human communication” used in Crystal's definition of semiotics to the more apposite “Human Computer Interface” (HCI) and Human Robot Interface (HRI) we open exciting new possibilities. Personal computing, including both personal software (productivity applications, such as text editors and spreadsheets, and interactive computer games) and personal computer platforms (operating systems, programming languages, and of that endeavor, HCI is a vast and multifaceted community, loosely bound by the evolving concept of usability, and the integrating commitment to value human concerns as the primary consideration in creating interactive systems. Forerunners of this technology are already finding their relationship to Activity Theory and HCI (Nardi 1996). The basic idea for the mouse first came to him in 1961 while sitting in a conference session on computer graphics, his mind mulling over the challenge of making interactive computing more efficient. The main thesis work and innovations include the following aspects: (a) activity theory and feedback from the standpoint of principle interactive media environment of the classroom model architecture. This process of disambiguation—so natural in human communication—is just as important in our interactions with computers, but they have to be designed to communicate that way. As professional communicators that I accurately understood it. The computer systems that increasingly mediate our communication can either facilitate or hinder the flow of information. It is our contention that extending this work into ducational robotics will provide a deeper understanding and offer new perspectives on the Interactive Principle. This is something we need to keep in mind as we create interactive sites and products. €The Mother of All Demos” (90 min Video/ Film) Doug's 1968 debut of the NLS system for online work including hypermedia, the mouse, online collaboration, interactive computing, human computer interface, and overarching guiding principles for the research. Theoretical papers should deal with the design principles underlying a particular system or class of systems, or with the abstract structure and process of human-computer interaction. Interaction Design offers a cross-disciplinary, practical and process-oriented approach to human-computer interaction, showing not just what principles ought to apply to interaction design, but crucially how they can be applied.
